A Holy House Has Wisdom Made

Renowned composer and lyricist Bob Hurd has crafted a wonderful new hymn text which, over its five textually rich verses, explores themes of the Church, discipleship, the Eucharist, healing, praise, social concern, and wisdom. Written in long meter (LM), it can work with many traditional hymn tunes but is set here to the beloved hymn tune O WALY WALY with a fresh new arrangement. Though intended for assembly participation, the choral writing does not lack for interest: An alternate voicing and harmonization of Verse 3 features the tenors and basses on the melody, and Verse 5 is enhanced by a soaring descant. Use the included cello and clarinet parts for even further tonal enrichment!
