Based on Scripture, this resource features notated text of Christopher Walker and Paule Freeburg, DC's The Way of the Cross for Children along with responses, Bible readings, reflections, artwork and songs for each of the 14 stations, all in a format that's easy for children to follow.

A powerful way to pray the Stations of the Cross
Praying the Stations of the Cross is an especially powerful way to enter into the meaning of Christ's Passion. This longstanding Lenten devotion involves both our imagination and emotions. It helps us appreciate Christ's sacrifice, relating it to the struggles in our own lives. Of course, children need this as well as adults.

Based on Scripture, this resource offers responses, Bible readings, reflections, artwork and songs for each of the 14 stations, all in a format that's easy for children to follow.

Invite children to sing and even do the readings
Children may be involved not only in the singing but also in the Scripture readings, with a teacher or catechist leading the reflections. An optional "Resurrection" station is provided, which may be performed with the other stations or done on its own after Easter.

Prayers and song texts by Sister Paule, music by Christopher Walker
All the prayers and song texts are delightful, original works by master poet Sister Paule. The music, composed by Christopher Walker, includes guitar and keyboard accompaniment parts, available in the Leader's Guide. The CD can serve as a helpful learning tool or for background accompaniment.

The Children's Book features spectacular, full-color artwork for each station, giving you the flexibility of leading the devotion in the classroom, at home or in church. Laminated posters (16" x 17") featuring each of the 14 stations (and one displaying all 14) can be placed around the classroom. The posters can also serve as placards to be held by children during the Stations of the Cross. Bookmarks with the same artwork will also be available.
