Carefully selected by liturgical experts, Sal de la Tierra includes many never-before-recorded songs along with new recordings of popular songs and songs from Primavera con Cristo, OCP's two-volume compilation of contemporary Spanish and bilingual (Spanish/English) music. This unique blend is a wonderful jumping-off point for new listeners to experience some of the best music being offered today, as well as a “greatest hits” style compilation for those already familiar with—and fans of—the genre.
Collaboratively produced and recorded all over the U.S., highlights include popular tracks like “Cancion del Misionero” and “Yo Te Alabo,” along with performances from such well-known artists as Jesse Manibusan and Who Do You Say I Am. Many of these tracks have been recorded and published for the first time, making them available for youth and young adult groups, retreats prayer services and more.
Reflecting the surge of interest in contemporary Catholic music, Sal de la Tierra is a gift to the Hispanic church, offering Spanish-speakers of all ages an excellent selection of new music for prayer and praise.
Components include three different songbooks, depending on your assembly's need, and the three-CD set. The guitar/vocal book is a standard, full-size songbook with spiral binding and all the music and guitar accompaniments. Conversely, the two very affordable assembly books include text-only versions of all 50 songs with guitar chords. With a short back cover, the "supplement" edition can easily be inserted into a hymnal or missal cover, while the version with the "standard cover" is designed for use as a hand-held, stand-alone booklet.
