In a world of constant noise, endless scrolling, and pressure to always be more, silence can feel uncomfortable. Our phones buzz, our to-do lists grow longer and longer. We jump from app to app, our faces lit by newsfeeds and messages we still need to respond to… But how often do we check in with God?
The 2025 Jubilee invites us to become Pilgrims of Hope, to look up from our screens and remember: life is more than applause, achievement, comments, or notifications. In moments of prayer and stillness, we find what our hearts have always longed for—to encounter the one who made us. The one who sees us, knows us, and deeply loves us.
This Jubilee is a sacred reminder that we are not alone. Our worth rests not in what we do, but in the unwavering love of Christ. I’m reminded of this every time I hear “O God, You Search Me” by Bernadette Farrell. This song paints a picture of Jesus dwelling within the walls of our hearts—knowing every flaw and quirk, and loving us completely. His love quiets the noise of comparison and reminds us that with him, we have nothing to fear.
So to every young person reading this: take a moment to breathe. Pray. Sit with the Lord and his Word. Cast all your anxieties on him. Don’t be afraid to walk the path he is calling you to. You were made for this pilgrimage—for the utter joy of being his disciple.
Lay down your worries, your plans, and your need to have it all figured out. Take that next step and walk beside the Lord. He is with you. And the joy waiting for you in his plan is greater than you could ever imagine. “For I know the plans I have for you…” (Jeremiah 29:11)
