"You Alone" by Sarah Hart
Scripture refers to St. John as the beloved disciple. In his first epistle he says that "God is love." Many have argued that this is the most profound of all theological statements in scripture. This is why I am drawn to "You Alone." God is worthy of all honor and adoration because he alone is love. The melody is intimate and passionate. It has a slower tempo that lends a sweet intensity to the song. Some of my favorite moments in communal prayer have happened as this song has been sung.
