Bio
Jon Carlo is a Catholic producer and singer-songwriter who aspires through his music and creativity to sing and commit to God. He was born on June 1, 1976 in the Dominican Republic. He and his family later migrated to the U.S., where he had an experience with God in New York City while in jail for disorderly conduct and vandalism at the age of 16. Today he resides in Pharr, Texas, with his wife Angelica and their four children: Geancarlos, Jon Marcos, Alina Esther and Lucas Sebastian. While reading and studying the Bible, he was inspired by the Holy Spirit to start a youth ministry of praise and worship in New York City called "Unción Juvenil." Choosing to serve God through music, he has written and produced for many different music ministries. Some projects Jon Carlo has worked on as producer and/or songwriter are: "Nada es Imposible para Ti" by Rodrigo Aguiluz (2016); "Volar" by Kairy Marquez (2016); "Por Siempre" by Joan Sánchez and RP Band (2010) and "De Bendición en Bendición" from Alfareros (2008). In 2009, Jon Carlo released his first solo collection, Mi Más Grande Pasión, which became a celebrated contemporary Catholic music album with popular songs including: "Te Necesito,” “La Mano de Dios,” “Te Equivocas” and “Quema Mi Vida."
With this release, he became one of the most recognized contemporary Catholic singers. His songs are broadcasted throughout Latin America and receive recognition within the Church. Jon Carlo was chosen to sing to Pope Francis at the 2013 Brazil World Youth Day in front of more than 3.5 million people. In 2014, he edited his second album, Traigo Música de Dios, which was again embraced internationally. The song "No Puedo Parar," has been sung throughout Latin America and the United States. His concerts are full of energy, music and high-quality production, but above all, they are a strong experience with the God of Life for attendees. On January 18, 2019, Jon Carlo, in collaboration with OCP, released his third album, titled Tú Eres Más Fuerte. His single "Tú Eres Más Fuerte" has become a hit and was used as the theme for the final part of the Youth Vigil with Pope Francis at WYD Panama 2019. Jon Carlo again and again has proven to be one of the most influential artists of Catholic music today; his social networks are visited by all kinds of Christians and non-Christians because his music is fresh and offers positive messages. His YouTube channel has more than 150,000 subscribers. Jon Carlo intends his music to lead the public to meet a living and loving God.
