Bio
Susan HooKong-Taylor has been performing her unique blend of jazz, folk and world music for several years in and around her home of Toronto, Canada. She has been hailed as a singer with flawless range and commanding poise; her compositions feature cogent lyrics and soaring melodies.With her long-time partner in ministry, Ana Da Costa, she sang for Pope John Paul II at the opening ceremony of World Youth Day 2002 in Toronto. The song they wrote and performed for the event, "Song of the Cross," is part of the official World Youth Day 2002 CD, Light of the World/Lumière du Monde, and is one of ten songs on their 2004 collection I Will Praise and Follow You.
She sings "Shadow of Your Wings," a song by Timothy R. Smith, on the Live It! two-CD compilation and provides lead and background vocals on Daughters of God.
Susan composes, records and tours as a member of the Daughters of God. She recently completed a degree in education and is active as a pastoral musician. She is married and has two children.
